The program focuses on equitable gender roles, empowerment in sexual and reproductive health and rights. More specifically, this program strengthens the capacities of girls in partnership with boys in and out of school youth on sexual, reproductive health, prevention of HIV Sexual Transmitted Infections, teenage pregnancies and life skills. The trained youth are organized in sports tournaments which in turn sensitize the community on adolescents’ sexual reproductive health and teenage pregnancy prevention.
AKWOS in partnership with AHF distributed face masks & food supplies to 195 families who were mostly affected by COVID-19 pandemic from Musanze and Rubavu Districts in 10 villages where AKWOS works directly.
